Competitively Priced Solutions for Your Inductor Design Needs

Whatever your inductor challenges, Glen Magnetics engineers can devise the perfect solution at a competitive price.

An inductor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that resists changes in electric current passing through it.

When a current flows through the inductor, energy is stored temporarily in a magnetic field in the coil. When the current flowing through an inductor changes, the varying magnetic field induces a voltage in the conductor which opposes the change in current that created it.

Typical applications are in power supplies that use inductors in conjunction with filter capacitors to smooth fluctuations and reduce hum from the direct current output. Inductors can be built as air-core inductors, laminated steel-core inductors, ferrite-core inductors, or toroidal-core inductors.

Using computer modeling, Glen Magnetics engineers will design your inductor according to your desired inductance, direct current (if any), alternating current, power loss, and temperature rise.

With every product we make, our goal is to partner with our customers to develop products that receive superior recognition in the marketplace.
